Swimming Badges - Red Cross Equivalencies
The Red Cross has changed its swimming program from a colour based naming system to a numbered one. This has caused some cofusion for Leaders because the Cub and Scout Handbooks still refer to the old colour based naming system.
The following is a conversion table, so that you can easily convert between systems.
| Current Red Cross | New Red Cross | Badge Equivalence |
| Maroon | AquaQuest 5 | Cub Swimming Badge |
| Green | AquaQuest 8 | Scout Bronze Swimming |
| Grey | AquaQuest 10 | Scout Silver Swimming |
| White | AquaQuest 12 | Scout Gold Swimming |
