Three-in-the-Box

Equipment

5 skittles or washing-up liquid bottles
2 trays or shallow boxes

Game Description

5 skittles are placed in the centre of the hall and one tray at each end. Two teams are numbered in order of size, one team stands on each side of the hall. When a player's number is called he runs to the centre and takes ONE SKITTLE AT A TIME to his team's tray. The first player to have 3 skittles in his tray wins.

The interesting part is that instead of picking up a skittle from the centre, a player may run to the opposite end and steal a skittle from his opponent's tray. In this way, a slower runner can win by outwitting his faster opponent.
