Game Description

Place the chairs in 2 rows across the hall with about 4-5 metres between each row. Draw a chalk line across the hall about 1 metre in front of the each row of chairs. A leader sits at one side of the hall between the two chalk lines with a torch and the Scouts line up behind the chairs. Turn the lights out.

The Scouts must go from under the chairs, across the chalk line and under the 2nd row of chairs. Periodically the Leader turns the torch on and anyone who is caught between the chalk lines is out. Once all the Scouts have got across then they return by the same route until they are all out.

The spacing of the chairs and chalk lines and the timing of the torch can be adjusted to suit the ability of the Scouts.
