Pico Blanco

- David Doyle

Not too long ago
I traveled to a land
A place where redwoods stand
A place where boys can grow.

They called it pico
Pico Blanco
That's where I want to go
That's where I am.

It's where I learned about life
And how people can make things right
Where I learned about love
I learnrd about God above.

Now I call her Pico
Pico Blanco
That's where I want to go
That's where I am

Pico
Pico Blance
She is my home
She is my friend

But now it's time to go
It's time to roll up the show
To drive that dusty old road
And head home.

I'll remember Pico
Pico Blanco
That's where I'll want to go
That's where I've been

Pico
Pico Blance
She is my home
Away from home
She's a lady.

Pico Blanco Hymn

Here among the trees majestic,
Pleasures you wil find.
On the trails of Pico Blance,
With your friends and mine.

Trail the eagle, ever onward;
This shall be our cry,
Be Prepared, this our motto,
Serving all mankind.

Pico's Burning (round)

Pico's burning, Pico's burning,
Look a-yonder, look a-yonder,
Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire,
And we have no water.

Pink Pajamas

1. I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it’s hot
I wear my flannel nighties in the summer when it’s not.
And sometimes in the springtime and sometimes in the fall
I jump between the sheets with nothing on at all! (Woo!)

CH: Glory, glory, Hallelujah!
Glory, glory, what’s it to ya’.
Balmy breezes blowing through ya’,
With nothing on at all

2. I wake up in the morning with sheets upon my head,
My little tootsie wootsies are a hangin’ out of bed,
Three times out of four times, I am lying on the floor.
I ain’t gonna drint that milk no more!

The Poor Old Slave

The poor old slave has gone to rest,
Way down in Tennessee - see - see.
Here lie his bones,
Disturb them not,
Way down in Tennessee - see - see.

The pe-oor old sle-ave has ge-one to re-est ...

The pigli-oor old sligli-ave has gigli-one to rigli-est...

Polly Wolly Doodle

1. I went down south to see my Sal,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day;
My Sal she is a spunky gal,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.

CH: Fare thee well, Fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm goin' to Lou'siana for to see my Susyanna,
Singing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.

2. Oh, my Sal, she is a maiden fair,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.
With curley-eyes and laughing hair,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.

3. Oh, grasshopper sitting on a railroad track,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.
A-picking his teeth with a carpet tack,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.

4. Oh, I went to bed, bit ut was no use,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.
My feet sutck out for a chicken roost,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.

5. Behind the barn, down on my knees,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.
I thought I heard a chicken sneeze,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.

6. He sneezed so hard with the whooping cough,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.
He sneezed his head and tail right off,
Sing polly-wolly-doodle all the day.

Puff the Magic Dragon

1. Puff the magic dragon, lived by the sea,
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Hona-lee,
Little Jacker Paper, loved that rascal Puff,
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff.

CH: Puff the magic dragon, lived by the sea,
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Hona-lee,
Puff the magic dragon, lived by the sea,
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Hona-lee,

2. Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail,
Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff's gigantic tail.
Nobel kings and princes would bow whene'er they came,
Pirate ships would lower their flags when puff roared out his name.

3. A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys,
Painted wings and giant rings make wat for other toys,
One grep night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more,
And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.

4. Hed head was bent in sorrow; green scales fell like rain,
Puff no longer went to play along the Cherry Lane.
Without his lifelong friend, Puff could not be brave.
So, Puff that mighty dragon, sadly slipped into his cave.

Prairie Flower

(start in squating position, as sung, turn around gradually standing up such that by end of song you are standing with your arms streaching up)

I'm a little prarie flower
growing faster by the hour
I wish I may, I with I might
have the thing I lost last night
